Every year around this time, things start getting a little crazy here at Wicks Forge. The weather gets colder, the days get shorter, and our workshop starts filling up with a whole lot of metal that needs to be turned into something useful before the holidays roll around.

Now, I love the holiday season. There's something pretty special about knowing that the things we make here in our little workshop are going to end up under Christmas trees, in stockings, and in homes all over the country. It's one of the most rewarding parts of what we do.

Butn nearly 50% of our annual sales happen in the final three months of the year. With the same number of hands and the same number of hours in the day some of our products will inevitably sell out. Here's what that means if you've had your eye on something from our shop.

If you had told me a few years ago that blacksmithing would lead to installing a standing seam roof, running compressed air lines, or moving massive stones for a patio, I probably would’ve laughed… then asked how heavy the stones were. But here we are: deep into the homestretch of our workshop construction and adding a whole new set of “blacksmith-adjacent” skills to the list.

These garden tools have been four years in the making! After years of designing, testing, refining (and repeating that process many times), we’re thrilled to finally release them into the world and into your gardens. We wanted to share the story behind them, because like all good things that come from the forge, these tools have roots in collaboration, creativity, and community.

2024 was another year of controlled chaos here at the forge. A small team of us made and shipped thousands of pieces to folks all over North America and even some folks overseas. We wanted to share some of the highs from the year as well as what's in store for 2025.
